Plain-language summary
We use survey responses to build aggregated research insights and do not share individual responses with employers
or sell data to third parties.
This page explains what data is collected when you complete our Microsoft Forms surveys,
why we collect it, how it is protected, and how you can request access or deletion. Responses are used for research,
primarily aggregated.
Full Privacy & Data Use Statement
The surveys in scope of this statement are part of independent exploratory research into challenges experienced in large-scale data migration and system integration projects in the pharmaceutical domain.
The surveys are provided by Robert Egger and Rok Milošič, currently conducting pre-incorporation research related to a potential future product initiative (working title: Synsara / Feyntune).
Your responses will be used solely for research and insight generation, primarily in aggregated and anonymized form. Individual responses will not be shared with your employer or any third parties, and will not be used for marketing or sales outreach unless you explicitly opt in.
Responses will be stored securely within Microsoft 365 and retained only as long as necessary to complete the research analysis.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your responses at any time by contacting: privacy@synsara.ai
By submitting your survey response, you consent to the use of your answers for the purposes described above.
What we collect
The specific questions vary by survey. Generally, we collect:
- Survey answers about project experience, friction points, and work practices
- Optional contextual information (e.g., role, domain, system landscape) to interpret responses
- Any contact information only if you voluntarily provide it (e.g., for a follow-up interview)
Important: Please avoid entering sensitive personal data (e.g., health information about individuals). If such data is accidentally provided, contact us to remove it.
How we use your responses
We use survey data to:
- Understand problem severity and common patterns across projects
- Identify collaboration and alignment failure modes (e.g., mental-model mismatches)
- Inform product discovery and research reporting (typically aggregated)
We do not use responses to evaluate individuals, and we do not disclose individual responses to employers.
Legal basis (practical)
For these surveys, the primary basis is your consent, as indicated by completing and submitting the form. Where applicable, we also rely on legitimate interest for research and product discovery, balanced against your privacy expectations.
If a survey includes optional follow-up contact fields, providing those details is entirely voluntary.
Retention & security
Responses are retained only as long as needed to complete analysis and synthesis. Data is stored within Microsoft 365 (e.g., Forms/Excel) with access restricted to the researcher(s) conducting the study.
- Access controls: limited to authorized accounts
- Operational security: least-privilege sharing, strong authentication
- Reporting: typically aggregated, de-identified outputs
Your choices and rights
You can request any of the following, subject to applicable law and practical identification of your response:
- Access — receive a copy of your submitted responses (where identifiable)
- Correction — fix inaccurate personal information you provided
- Deletion — remove your responses from our research dataset
- Withdrawal of consent — stop future use of your identifiable responses where feasible
If you did not provide any identifiers, it may not be possible to locate a specific response. In that case, we can still ensure it is not used in any future reporting if you can provide sufficient context (survey title/date and approximate answers).
